The history of the family-owned company JAPG Lda is closely linked to Quinta da Barreira and to that of the winemaker José Gaspar, the driving force behind both.
The Quinta da Barreira, founded in 1853, and owned by the same family since 1954, is located in the municipality of Torres Vedras and in the Wine Region of Lisbon.
Its vineyards, planted and renovated in 2006 with the noble red wine grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvingnon and the white Chardonnay, Verdelho, Alvarinho and Arinto are the basis of the wines produced by JAPG Lda. Once the vineyards have been selected, the triad of success is completed with the rigor in the performance of the specialized human resources and the appropriate vinification technology in which the vast professional experience of its oenologist, José Gaspar, was decisive for the international success in markets such as Canada, Brazil and China.
As part of a partnership agreement established with JAPG Lda, members of the MG Clube de Portugal are entitled to a 15% discount based on the current Price List applicable to mainland Portugal and the islands."
