MG COMPLETE DRIVER'S CRITERIA

The CCCMG – MG COMPLETE DRIVER'S CRITERIA came into force in 1988.

Many members see the Criteria as a more active way to participate with their cars in the Club’s activities because it is based on the events that take place in the Concentrações each year.

REGULATION

The M.G.C.P. - MG CLUBE DE PORTUGAL carries out during each calendar year a set of competitions that score for the MG COMPLETE DRIVER'S CRITERIA ruled by this regulation:


Article 1

All drivers who have a driving license and who are members of the MG CLUBE DE PORTUGAL will be admitted to these events.

Article 2

Each competitor can only register once in each competition counting for the Criteria.

Article 3

The registered cars for the purpose of rating will be divided into the following classes:

  • Veterans
  • Previous to MGA
  • Anteriores ao MGA
  • Sport – MGA, MG Midget, MGB, MGB GT, MGC, MGC GT, MG 1100, MG 1300
  • Produção - Todos a partir do MG Metro, inclusive

 

  • SINGLE - A car may be enrolled in each competition by more than one competitor.

Article 4

Any member present in a Concentração is automatically enrolled in the Criteria unless otherwise communicated in writing by that member.

Article 5

The Criteria will consist of 6 to 8 competitions (2017 review).

Article 6

Point 1 – The rating of each competitor in the Criteria will be the result of the sum of the points obtained in each competition which will be calculated by multiplying the points corresponding to the place achieved in the respective class (A) by the coefficient of each event (B) as follows:

2nd Place - 12

3rd Place - 10

4th Place - 9

5th Place - 8

6th Place - 6

7th Place - 4

8th Place - 3

9th Place - 2

10th Place - 1

Coefficients: from 2 to 6 according to the decision of the Jury or the M.G.C.P. Board.

Point 2 – If in advance the M.G.C.P. Board authorizes several participations of the same competitor in different classes, only the result of the 1st absolute pass will count towards the score in the Criteria.

  1. Only one participation in the same class is allowed in any case.
  2. Exceptions are the competitions to be carried out on the Anniversary, in which the ratings obtained in any class will count towards the Criteria, in accordance with the specific regulation of the “A Prova” (Racetrack) and the “Concours d’Elegance” (Pride of Ownership).
  3. The winner of the Criteria, in each class, will be the competitor who in the set of his best N/2 + 1 results obtains the highest number of points, being necessary to qualify the minimum of N/2 - 1 results. N = Total of competitions organized to count for the Criteria.
  4. In case of a tie, the following will be considered:
    1. The number of tests carried out
    2. The age of the vehicle
  5. If a competition doesn’t have at least 3 participants in the class, the points will not be awarded to competitors in that class.

Article 7

The following prizes will be awarded:

3 awards per class.

  1. A special prize will be given to the best ranked female participant.

Article 8

The registration fees will be as follows, whenever M.G.C.P. understand it:

  1. By competition: To be defined
  2. In Criteria: To be defined
  3. A competitor registered in the Criteria and who quits for whatever reason, will not be refunded the fee.

Article 9

Complaints about the times provided by the timekeeper or the faults transmitted by the stewards, will not be allowed.

Any other complaints must be submitted to the MG CLUBE DE PORTUGAL Board in writing, within one hour after the results are released.

Article 10

The MG CLUBE DE PORTUGAL declines all responsibility for accidents and damages caused or suffered by competitors.

Article 11

Omitted cases will be resolved by the Criteria Jury, composed of the Board of the MG CLUBE DE PORTUGAL.
