Memorable Christmas lunch! This year, we have paid a well-deserved tribute to our former President and Honorary Member.

On December 13, the MG Club of Portugal Christmas Lunch took place at the Jockey Restaurant, located at the Campo Grande Hippodrome in Lisbon.

The event was attended by 95 members, companions, and guests, who began the gathering with a lively welcome drink on the restaurant’s terrace. Once again, Saint Peter favored the Club with a rain-free day, creating the perfect setting for this opening moment, accompanied by live jazz music performed by Toscano, which added a warm and elegant atmosphere.

The gathering continued with a pleasant lunch, during which members shared experiences, stories, and memories behind the wheel of their MGs, further strengthening the spirit of friendship and passion that unites the Club community.

During the lunch, Loyalty Trophies were presented to 12 attending members as a token of appreciation for their dedication, loyalty, and long-standing commitment to the MG Club of Portugal and the MG brand:

  • Member No. 75 – 40 years – António Hipólito Cabaço
  • Member No. 277 – 30 years – José Pinto Gaspar

  • Member No. 455 – 15 years – Francisco Forte
  • Member No. 725 – 15 years – Joaquim Saldanha Mendes

The event concluded with a beautiful and well-deserved tribute to our former President and current Secretary-General, Isabel Tinoco, who was involved in the leadership of the MG Club of Portugal for 25 years, including the last 10 years as President of the Board.

This emotional moment included speeches of appreciation, a presentation highlighting some of the most memorable moments of her journey with the Club, as well as recorded testimonials from representative members and partners, reflecting the deep recognition and affection of the entire MG community.

For those who were unable to attend — or who would like to relive these moments — we invite you to view the photo report that follows.

It will be difficult to surpass this year’s Christmas celebration!
