MG made a strong statement at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed by unveiling two highly advanced electric vehicles: the MG IM5 and MG IM6. These models, introduced under the new “IM – Intelligence in Motion” designation, represent a major technological leap for the brand, featuring thrilling performance, refined design, and cutting-edge innovation. The MG IM5 Long Range, for example, offers up to 655 km of range and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, powered by the Hurricane electric motor and a new 800V platform.

The IM models feature a premium, tech-driven interior environment, including a 26.3” panoramic display, a 20-speaker audio system, a panoramic roof, and features like “Rainy Night Mode” and “One Touch Park Assist.” The MG IM5 also includes bi-directional rear-wheel steering, dramatically reducing its turning radius to just 9.98 meters – ideal for urban settings. UK pricing starts at £39,450 for the IM5, going up to £52,995 for the Launch Edition of the IM6.

MG also took the opportunity to unveil the elegant Cyberster Black and bold Cyber X concept, exploring new design language for its "Cyber" sub-brand. The return of the iconic EX4 – reimagined as a fully electric tribute to the 1980s Metro 6R4 rally legend – also drew attention, powered by the MG4 XPower drivetrain. These launches reinforce MG’s commitment to innovation, combining next-generation electric performance with bold design for the future of mobility.
