Dear Member and Visitor
After all the activities we had listed for the second half of 2018 and that we managed to accomplish, the MGCC European Manager, Mr. Håkan Sigemark, invited the MGCP’s Board to attend the 17th MG Car Club European Conference held in Birmingham in early November.
The aim of this meeting was to present our idea for the candidacy to the EEoTY 2021 and be accepted and formally voted by the delegates representing 18 clubs from 16 countries, most with 2 delegates.
We were successful and we will receive the MG EEoTY – European Event of the Year in May 2021. We will have to do a great job taking into account that the European participants should retain a good image of this international event.
All of this must occur without damage to the club's regular activities of which we can already announce the following until the end of June:
On Saturday, March 9th - The 166th MGCP Concentração will start at Estoril and end at the headquarters of the club where the members will participate in the Ordinary General Meeting and will elect the new Social Bodies for 2019-21;
Between April 5th and 7th - MGCP will return to the Lisbon International Classic Motor Show which is in its 15th edition;
On Sunday, May 26th (to be confirmed) - We will visit the 8th Vila Franca de Xira Classic Car & Motorcycle Show which continues to be commissioned by our member António Cabaço;
Between June 7th and 10th – For the long weekend, the 167th Concentração promotes a touring along the Vicentina Coast. We have already booked accommodations at Vila Nova de Milfontes.
Lastly let me send you a huge ‘thank you’ for all your support during 2018. You are responsible for making the MGCP what it is and we’re looking forward making it bigger in 2019.
