Dear MG Enthusiasts
After 16 months of inactivity, the organization of the few activities of the club resembled a Slalom MG bypassing the Delta and Ómicron variants of the SARS-CoV2 because we really wanted to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the MGCP – MG Clube de Portugal and we managed to do it, last October, in the lands of the thoroughbred Cavalo Lusitano, taking advantage of the help of city halls of a virtuous triangle formed by Entroncamento, Torres Novas and Golegã.
There were three excellent SSS days: Serene, Sunny and full Satisfaction in which the participating members made memorable visits to very special places, which included the presentation of the Special MG or MG Canelas, conceived and built by the aeronautical engineer José Jorge Canelas from a MG Midget TC.
Before this great celebration, it had already been possible to visit the Pharmacy Museum, in Lisbon, in the middle of the “cooling down” period of the appearance of the Delta variant, around the beginning of September.
Now, in the first days of December and to safely close the year before Ómicron became “owner and mistress” of the situation, a Christmas Dinner was held at the recent and spacious Vila Galé Sintra Hotel, to complete the awarding of prizes to eligible members.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to each and every one of the members who accompanied us on these journeys and wish multiple successes and long life to this first single-brand club to emerge in Portugal by the hands of a dozen Founding Members.
